i dont believe they were ever working on songs for FOUR
theyve been planning all of this for zayn's solo album
NB has made that very clear from the beginning
the songs didnt make it to FOUR cos they werent supposed to

one of zayn's song was initially suppose to be the first single off the album (simon said it was his favorite) and the guys went into the studio and recorded it. so yes at first they were working on "four". this probably came out in one of the early sessions

but something obviously changed along the way. and zayn's song was probably saved for either his album or NB's album
