But you say that as if being "overly offended" never happens. Look at the original post. It's racist to say "Oh, that doesn't surprise me" about Frank Ocean, even though he's been arrested before... but it's not racist to say "Oh, that doesn't surprise me" about Charlie Sheen, even though he's been arrested before? No one is here for double standards or oversensitivity. There was clearly a burst of overreactions over that post, even
after it was clarified. Personally, I dislike these three things
equally:
1. Legitimately racist people -- because it's self-explanatory.
2. Naïve people who think racism doesn't exist -- because the ignorance is a bit too much to handle.
3. People (in my case, black people) that make
everything about race -- because it reflects badly on the entire race.
