I find it interesting that nobody gives Rihanna crap about her sales but in Ciara's thread everybody made a big deal.
I'm really not trying to start anything.
THIS.
Not taking away from Rihanna because those albums ARE a success but I wonder why when Ciara sells the same with her first 2 albums, people switch their mind. #AHypocriticalMess

But good for RI!
Perhaps they don't give Rihanna as hard of a time because her singles runs are far more impressive and successful, and kind of balance her weak album sales. Just a thought.
its rihanna. The Girl is an international superstar. SO what if US prefer her singles than album. Its the big pic that matters and the world gets the big pic. They buy her album. She is a terrific singles artist though. @least she doesn't flop........

Well that's my point. Her album sales don't truly reflect how popular she is, but her single sales / chart runs do. Rihanna is a huge singles artist in the US.
I must say it does generally shock me that Goodies outsold Good Girl Gone Bad in the US even after the re-release.
Goodies had an urban and a pop audience where GGGB was mainly focused on the pop audience.
Rihanna's biggest demographic is the international audience and that will not change any time soon. Regarding timing who knows what GGGB could have sold if it were released in 2004.

Goodies sold 3 million worldwide and most of the sales were in the US. I don't want to see the wikipedia article, that has been edited so many times by Ciara stans it's pathetic.
Evolution sold less than 2 million worldwide.
Evolution was released in 2006 and I don't remember people giving her a hard time for her sales back then.
