Don't like the HCR hate.
Though I agree that ILTD ***** on that song. And when I heard ILITLT I liked it (lol), but it was a complete mess that they we're using the same formula to have another hit.
DISCLAIMER: This list is extraordinarily opinionated. I don't think people will agree wholeheartedly on some of these.
6. Give Me Everything - Pitbull featuring a **** ton of other artists
Let me preface this decision with two facts about myself. First, Pitbull scares the **** out of me. He is singlehandedly one of the most frightening artists I think I have ever had the displeasure to watch a music video of. Secondly, I don't really enjoy male artists making songs about sex and partying, because they tend to become hits before more deserving songs by all other genders. This will be a common motif throughout this countdown, by the way. Anyway, this song's incessant integration with the American pop music scene this summer...and fall....and even early freaking winter give me reason to hate it all the more..
5. Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO feat a couple other ar****ts
Very similar to the previous song, this track epitomizes everything that is wrong with the music industry today. From the less-than-unintelligent lyrics to the generic-ass beat that incorporates pretty much everything that was a hit from the past three years, this song sits at the pinnacle of the pile of mediocrity we have received as a pop music audience recently. The fact that this video has so many views makes my heart ache for the future of the world.
4. Red Solo Cup - Toby Keith
Sometimes I wonder why people wake up in the morning and write certain songs. I really do. Because a song like this does very little to enlighten anyone or to even provide listening pleasure. The near-universal critical and public panning of this song is enough vindication for this song's placement on this list.
