2. Aquarius has yet to outsell Music of the Sun's first week numbers. Do you not know the state of album sales at the moment? You mentioned yourself Rihanna had a huge hit with her first single while 2 On didn't have a strong showing on pop radio to match its rhythmic presence. With album sales being much better that year accompanied by a huge hit, of course the numbers are going to be better.
3. The ONLY Rihanna album to sell 1.6m+ other than GGGB is Loud, which came 3 years after GGGB. That was because of multiple singles, tons of promo, wtch Rihanna's album sales as a whole are not good at all.
4. Rihanna was marketed as way more pop than Tinashe. Pon De Replay has more pop influence than any one track on Aquarius and that is a fact.

So the fact is Rihanna during her Music Of The Sun days is still bigger than Tinashe. Glad we could agree.
And you should give Music Of The Sun a listen before claiming Rih was pop. Pon de Replay's dancehall influences are way stronger than the pop influences.
And it's quite funny you'd call Rih's album sales not good when her worst selling album has sold 10 times more than Aquarius. Even when Urban is big Tinashe still never got any tangible success, Rihanna even during her first era was still way bigger than Tinashe, they aren't comparable.
And Rihanna has been urban with pop influences for years and not just with Unapologetic so I don't understand your marketing point, that's like saying Tinashe is being marketed as an urban princess yet she's still not smashing.
Tinashe has never been on the same level with Rih even with Rihanna's first era let her have some form of success before overrating her like you're doing.
