Yesterday, I asked you to vote on the first round of match-ups from the
Amy Division of our draw, and after several close battles, the top eight seeds are moving one step forward in the competition.
Overall #1 seed "Rehab" was briefly challenged by #16 "Don't Worry, Be Happy," but ultimately pulled ahead.
#2 "Bette Davis Eyes" came from behind late in voting to overtake #15 "Use Somebody."
#3 "Don't Know Why",
#4 "Mrs. Robinson" and
#6 "Sunny Came Home" all had an easier time of it, at least doubling their opponents in votes. But
#5 "Just the Way You Are" and
#7 "Beautiful Day" were shakier, never comfortably distancing themselves from the competition. In the closest match-up,
#8 "Love Will Keep Us Together" topped
#9 "Mack the Knife" on the final vote.
