My post was simply stating the title was misleading - I thought this year Madonna had done some business deal to become the biggest earner ever. If I wanted a Madonna stan fight I'd go into a Lady Gaga thread.

Not certain if this was about me or the other fan but all I can say is that my first language isn't english, but at least Im trying my best. most people can't even write a decent sentence in their own language. anyway you're way off topic. All I'm saying is that you're obviously pretending to be a fan of someone you don't like and creating drama between fan bases. perhaps go do something productive with your time instead.

Madonna makes so much money I love that she gets a huge cut of her tour earnings. Only a true business woman.
Guiness is annoyingly late though. Last time they updated this was in 1998? I'm pretty sure Madonna out-earned her several times since then.
I stan for some hardworking and intelligent women. Madonna and Beyoncé both make a ridiculous amount of money and it's important to note Beyoncé because she is second to Madonna, not Celine.

Quite the contrary! Madonna is my most played artist and holds more songs in my music library than any other artist. However, I'm not only a Madonna fan.

Madonna, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga have all earned more than Céline's "record." Madonna and Beyoncé have done this more than once too.

I like a lot of other artists as well but I don't go in their topics doing what you do. you won't find one negative post about rihanna or beyoncé (or even miley) from me.
A little example: i don't know about Guinness but I do know Forbes is very anti Madonna and pro beyoncé, so usually they shade and put madonna down to bring beyoncé up. So I, as first and foremost a big madonna fan, never said anything to bring beyoncé down or look for receipts to prove otherwise for that reason. and if you really love madonna you also know that Madonna's talents and achievements are being put down A LOT. She's the kind of performer who barely gets 10% of the credit she deserves. (Im not going to get into details now but if you're truly a fan you know this)
So I say let's just enjoy this..

That's all we can go on: published numbers.
What I am trying to do is use legit sources and published numbers to backup my claims about Beyoncé instead of making excuses that you are unable to backup.
Please go ahead and show me articles that prove that Madonna's team doesn't cooperate with Forbes, but Beyoncé's does. Show me a credible article that shows she earned $75 million in merchandise sales from her tour. Show me a credible article that shows she earned $60 million from perfume sales. You're pulling this information from the New York Post that claimed that Madonna was a billionaire after her 2013 earnings. She probably has a net worth close to that, but none of that information is made public by Madonna's team, so why would the less-than-credible New York Post have access to this information over Forbes? Stay consistent with your excuses. |

All of these sources (and there are more) detail the numbers I gave you. The only source that doesn't ironically is an opinion blog story by a person I actually know (lol) and that article that he wrote can be proven incorrect by a simple google search of the info he provided in the first few lines.
Beyonce' does admit to wanting to build an empire like Madonna's.

I never actually insulted Madonna. All I did was mention that Beyoncé is coming close to earning more based on published numbers, and Beyoncé should be mentioned, because Céline is not the second highest earning female artist. She's not even third when Lady Gaga earned $90 million one year.

Forbes $125M estimate comes from billboards $35M in touring + 75M in merchandise and 15M in DVD rights etc. All together that's $125M. That's where that number comes from because BB didn't include merch and DVD deals just music.
So is it your position that the NY times and any other source reporting those Merch numbers and DVD rights numbers has those correct but they went ahead and made up everything else? Is that really what you believe? after all every single source that mentions merch and dvd rights also mentions perfume, hard candy and material girl. - that's your logic. Believe the parts that suit you but when it gets too far above beyonce, they're just making it up.
I also didn't say forbes wasn't credible. I said opinion pieces by bloggers at forbes, are. You know there's a difference between these lists that forbes publish and someone from forbes giving an opinion, right?
