The thing is, is that she's actually not hated in real life or by the media. Just by ATRL stans.
Nobody cares enough to hate her in real life, they've moved on since she's become off the radar like half a decade ago.
Because her last album had a lukewarm reception and she hasn't put out another since? Is this not something that happens to literally EVERY artist at one point in their career? Jesus. Her numbers go from being ASTRONOMICAL to being above average and OGH acts like she'll never sell a record again, using jazz songs and TIHTY as receipts and then going on to critique her personality every day without realizing that they THRIVE on another person's flaws and failures, to the point where they'll spend hours every day, some for years on end, stalking charts, stats, checking up on every detail of her life and forcing themselves to form a negative opinion (no matter how mundane the topic), spending hours making avatars and edits, using Gaga hate websites, etc. These people are legitimately SICK and TWISTED and mods like Ace Reject literally let it happen, egging on Gaga trolls but closing threads made about other artists like Britney within minutes.
But at the end of the day I just laugh, because there's literally no way in hell any of the OGH lead truly engaged and fulfilling lives, have a self-esteem, or meaningful connections to anyone besides some popstar that doesn't know they exist, even though now they care more about someone completely different because she was "pretentious and annoying" 6 years ago.
I think the monsters annoyed most of ATRL when Gaga was in her prime time aaand now it's getting back at them? But they I don't think they receive that much hate now
