I'm not sure if there's any point in her getting out any new music. I will enjoy new music obviously, but it won't be useful to her career. Everybody says she desperately needs an urban hit, and I agree, but the ONLY way she can get that is if she releases an urban song as a pop single, and she's never going to do that (and even if she does, people like Division will go and harrass her on Twitter until she changes her mind and releases a dance-pop song instead).

She can use one of her existing urban songs to release as a pop single. Recording a lot of urban songs and then releasing them as urban-only singles won't do anything, they'll all just chart at #72 or whatever as usual (although I will enjoy the extra music of course).

She needs a combination of straight up hip-hop/urban & great crossover hip-hop tracks like Moment 4 Life. Even VVV is a little too pop.

Er... I don't harass anyone, and I certainly wouldn't complain about any single choices to Nicki. I'm more than satisfied with PF:RR (unlike most of you, many of whom do harass her on Twitter, and I've seen you guys doing it), and it's not as if she's ever going to release a hip-hop single outside America anyway.

I agree. I think Moment 4 Life got to #12 on pop, and that was back before she really blew up. If she released Moment 4 Life now it would easily go top 10 on pop at least.

I have one question. Is there a reason why you doubt Nicki's Hip-Hop outside of America, when Drake releases and is successful with his music in the UK?

Wasn't M4L released in the UK? That's a Hip-Hop song.

Have you ever heard Mama Do the Hump? lol Urban songs can be hits in the UK. There've been more urban top 10 hits in the UK so far this year than there have in the US.

And Girls Like Dominoes did well in the UK (better than in the US even), and that was without a music video.

If she still has Champion, IAYL, Hov Lane on the urban side - why would she be releasing a whole separate thing to distract from Roman Reloaded? Wouldn't that halt sales? That seems dumb. I'm completely lost.

Oh my god, neither Mama Do The Hump (I associate produced the video btw) nor Girls Fall Like Dominoes are hip-hop. Rapping in a song ≠ hip-hop. Especially when the songs have huge sung pop choruses lol.

They do have elements of hip-hop though, to be fair. Like hip-hop in the same vein as Eminem's big lead singles imo.

Dominoes IS a Hip-Hop. ANYONE can tell you that. You know how many songs Kanye has made with samples in the chorus with sung choruses?

There's SO many facets of Hip-Hop. Not every Nicki Hip-Hop track will sound like IAYL.
