"Arma-Goddamn-Mother****in-Geddon" and "Check My Brain" are my favorites from this set.
It's shocking to see that Britney made your top 40, considering that, at least for me, IUSA is one of her worst songs.
MC! You continue to crush it. Like seriously. This thread should have the subtitle "Please MC, Don't Hurt 'Em". Because that's what you are doing. Keep it up, and I look forward to the top 30.
30. The Ting Tings - Great DJ There is just something about The Ting Tings that everyone has to love. Maybe it's the amazing vocals of lead singer Katie White. This fun song is good for any party. I'm hoping we get a new Ting Tings album in 2010.
29. Mastodon - Oblivion What can be said about Mastodon that hasn't already been said. These guys are just so damn good at what they do, it's amazing. "Oblivion" is metal at its finest. These guys need more recognition at what they do, because they damn well deserve it.
28. Disturbed - The Night Disturbed is another great band who first broke out at the start of the decade and have not slowed down. "The Night" is a rock song that kicks in at the start and doesn't stop until the end. I was able to see them live this year and Disturbed puts on a hell of a show
27. Anberlin - Feel Good Drag This one was released late in 08, but I didn't really get into it until this year. "Feel Good Drag" is a simple little song, but it's songs like these that can be great. The guys finally broke into the mainstream after being unnoticed for a very long time.
26. Bury Your Dead - Without You This is not the Bury Your Dead everyone is used to hearing. The screaming is gone, but Myke's vocals remind me a lot of Lajon's from Sevendust. It may take some time getting used to the singing, but "Without You" is a great song to get used to the new sound.
