I think people will have a different outlook.
I love how I never said albums or that I was referencing albums and people felt the need to jump out the window thinking i was calling Views a classic. I would have said it was a classic album and I've said many times that he needs to come out with a classic album to certify his legendary status.

The three male rappers that were referenced have crossover rap classics and SOLD like they had crossover rap classics.

I was referencing how putting out crossover music doesn't guarantee stats like Vanilla, M.C. Hammer or Drake.

Which is why I ended with being glad he was able to achieve that.

Lol. First, Beyonce was only #1 in Sales for 2 weeks (she's #2 in sales this week) so he hasn't actually really messed with her charting by being #1 (except for 1 week).

Secondly, sales aren't the say all be all in determining which album is more popular. An album that sold 39,999 and had 100 million streams is less popular than an album that sold 40,000 and had 1 million streams to you? Hence why streaming is included in Billboard 200, because Billboard themselves do not think sales should be the only-side to show what albums are popular. Crying over Billboard including streams and saying they should remove them is a waste of time,since they specifically WANTED the charts to be reflected this way.

Thirdly, Beyonce's success is still fine? Stop crying like he ruined her career or something. She's doing great. And yes, she could be doing better if it was on Spotify, but that's her decision and her fault -- Drake's album doesn't deserve #1 because she can't add her album on all services properly?

And lastly, nobody gave a **** about how much streaming was factored 3 months ago in this chart. It's only a problem now because Drake is a Streaming MONSTER and therefore has a much bigger streaming advantage than anyone. But newsflash -- Billboard isn't gonna remove streaming because one artist excels at it very strongly. Get over it.

At least with them it's understandable. Drake has pretty much done the crossover thing the correct with continuing with integrity, artistry and quality in mind. His brand strengthens overtime which is why 100M streams and 100k are the results for his weekly tallies since Views debuted.

I'm somewhat glad some people fell right into the trap but yes I don't see views as a classic. I've even made threads about it.

I do believe 2-3 records from views will be classics but that's just me.

For now, yes at drake's 100k SPS and 100M weekly streams.

None of the albums mentioned were the most consumed in album sales, track sales, and streams.

Sorry passed the 500k mark in pure sales last week and is outselling Needed Me and as of June 16th, Hold Up is already at 425k in pure sales in the US and it's smashing in Europe. LOL you aren't going to lecture me on this. Hip-hop is about classic bodies of work. I've never once seen a hip-hop fan talk about hits or singles.
