I understand his intentions but his execution is terrible! Kudos to him for trying to start a movement though. At the end of the day if I wanted to buy his music I would. Tidal will not be getting my coins, but if an album comes out that I like I will support it (if I feel like it) and that's that!

And do you think that the small artists that need money will get more money from Tidal than from Spotify?

For someone like me, I can go on tour. But what about the people working on the record, the content creators and not just the artists? If they’re not being compensated properly, then I think we’ll lose some writers and producers and people like that who depend on fair trade. Some would probably have to take another job, and I think we’ll lose some great writers in the process. Is it fair?

I say it's FANTASTIC. Finally the artists will be true artists and not faces of someone else's work. Those scorned writers and producers will come out with their own material and lazy, dependent ***** will finally be eliminated.

If they r against streaming ( cuz the labels lose money) they just can remove themselves fro streaming services..its so simple...

You're not making any sense at all.
Not every writer or producer is a singer. & not every writer actually wants to be in the lime light.

Jay-Z alone started/re-launched the company by buying the parent company Aspiro. My fav, along with Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Kanye, Usher, Madonna, Chris Martin, Arcade Fire and more, are co-owners with a 3% equity stake in the company. I'm not coming for anyone, but Rihanna, like the other artists I mentioned all co-own the company, therefore are just as "money hungry". In this example, Rihanna also happens to be the first artist to offer exclusive Tidal streaming, with "Bitch Better Have My Money", meaning Spotify users cannot stream it and will need to potentially subscribe to Tidal to stream it.

You have a point but I mean we can all agree to the fact that Anaconda is not some quality music or even Booty, 7/11, Gangnam Style, Break Free or What Does The Fox Says, #Selfie, Call Me Maybe. No shade to those artist but you know...

You gotta work for our money now.
As much as the industry tries to fight it, power swung to the consumer the moment streaming services became legitimate. As if Jay gives a **** about songwriters and session musicians. We have choice and power. So let the sign-ups dance for their dollars!

$6, $4, $2, whatever the cost, the markup on bottled water is insane. The point is that you're shelling out dollars for something worth pennies.

Most musicians aren't in the lime light either way. And why does a musician have to be a singer?
I stand by my statement. Music industry needs a revolution, but not of this kind. Eliminate talentless puppets, make the artists real and the industry will thrive.

No one is shelling out anything, since everyone in their right mind drinks tap water.

Yea I might not personally care for any of those songs.
But in all reality music isn't meant to always be serious with some deep meaning.
Sometimes people just want to have fun and they use music as an escape.
So yeah it's still of quality for some. Maybe not you and I but someone out there.

I get what he means but it is still expensive, plain and simple. If Spotify was to cease if all those artist pull there music and went exclusive to TIDAL, the people that were using the free format would just run back to ******* sites. It is wrong of people to think that music should be free, but at least with Spotify, the ad support was at least minimizing their loses.

The average listener could really care less who wrote the song.
