Do you mean in the real world or pointless tabloid stories that won't be remembered in 50 years? Cause Beyonce has way more impact than Britney Spears...
Beyonce is literally the greatest performer of the last 10 years, Britney Spears can barely move and never sings, and I'm just being honest. She will never be more impactful than Beyonce because she has nothing left to give.

I'm not saying Mariah did have the most impact in the 00's because but you can't ignore ha just like that.
|
Mariah didnt have much impact in the early 00s though, she was kinda a flop from 00-04

Rihanna, Kesha, Nicki, Gaga, Katy, Carly Rae Jepsen, Adele, Lana, Marina and the diamonds, Miley, Selena, Demi, ALL of today's popstars have credited Britney as a huge inspiration and not Beyonce. So idgi tbh..

There'd even be no Katy/Ke$ha today tbh.

This is so true. Avril changed the industry so much! After her debut there was a HUGE wave of pop rock girls and if it wasn't for her there would be no Katy, Kesha, Miley, Demi, Hilary or even Kelly Clarkson. She was the female act who changed the industry the most but the one who made the biggest impact was surely Britney.
So:
Britney>>Beyonce>Shakira>Christina>Avril>Pink>JLo.

Then why are we using stats from all of the 2000s in the original post?
If it's JUST early 2000s -- Britney, Xtina, and Beyonce are the only 3 applicable ones imo.

search the interview where Rihanna talked about Blackout back in '07 and how she defended Britney when a radio interviewer shaded her around the S&M remix release. Katy said Toxic is one of her favorite songs ever and the interviewer made his band start playing it so she would sing it but she only did like 1 line. And she said she wanted to meet her and how it's a shame she hadnt cause they lived at the same city. Then she went to find Britney at the 2011 VMAs where she was sitting and tweeted a pic of theirs together from the Smurfs 2 premiere with something like "OMG.." . Adele has said Brit's one of her favorites, she had her pic with Brit appear to her back screen during her 2011 tour and was at the FFT when she gave birth. Miley was continuously saying how Britney's the Queen of pop last year and she said she admires her back in 2008 or 2009 before the TCAs when she presented her, her award. Demi said that if she could make a group of females that would include herself and 4 other singers she mentioned Britney, Gaga and 2 others that I dont remember of. Look it up.

I'm talking about how much impact they had overall.. it only applies to those of the EARLY 00s but not to their only then success.

Whoever is placing Avril above P!nk should know that P!nk led the pop/rock wave with her then new sound and style to be honest. Just when Avril came around the corner in 2002 P!nk had her first 2 hits from her M!ssundaztood album (which came out in fall 2001) - those were GTPS and DLMGM and the also much more prominent JLAP typical for its sound.

IDGAF about what they said about Britney -- the lie I'm talking about is the part where they've never said anything about Beyonce. I mean, Adele alone:

The ONLY correct answer is Britney.
She had commercial success in the early 2000s with albums (especially Oops and In The Zone), and some of her best performances come from this decade, especially the Britney/ITZ eras. I would also argue that her best songs come from this decade - 'I'm A Slave 4 U', 'Toxic', 'Everytime' and 'Gimme More', as well as her best albums - 'Blackout' and 'In The Zone'. She managed 2 #1s near the end of the decade ('Womanizer' and '3') and finally managed to get radio support too.
Not to mention her troubles in the mid-2000s, which only further showed just how revered Britney Spears was, and still is.
