Now I'm no music snob, but do people really want her to go back to making songs about getting drunk in a club? I mean is that REALLY the kind of content you prefer in the music you listen to?

Honestly, I hope she releases An EP soon. Like in February or something, THEN tour.
I want the EP to be something like TFM.

Are you ready for this era to be over?
Yes
When did you start to lose interest in this era?
After the album release.
Do you think this era really needs a lot more singles after "Marry the Night"?
I hope for 2 more and the era ending but I think this era will be dragged out for too long.
Why do you think this era lost its power so quickly?
The music doesn't live up to the hype and she's better than the music on Born This Way.
Is this Gaga's worst era so far?
Yes.

Nope I like this era it's one of her best. I actually got to learn a lot about Lady Gaga as an artist and she proved who she is and what she wants of her career. I'm fine with everything. I can't wait for the tour & for Heavy Metal Lover & Shiza videos. I'm glad this era she lost all the band wagon and complaining fans. It was a success.

Have you seen your avi sis? Carry on posting, you are providing a great Kii.
But really, I'm already tired of her religious references in most of the songs on Born This Way.

Also that's a made-up quote. The only thing she said is that it would piss people off.

Oh yes, let's do this and end the era when "MTN" bombs.

"Just Dance" is her only song that comes close to talking about being drunk in a club, iirc. We've all acknowledged "Telephone"'s basic-ness. And "So Happy I Could Die" ***** on 95% of Born This Way, not because of what she sings about. But because it's genius beyond its lyrics and holds great quality. Other than that she made great music without having that kind of content saturate her albums. Besides, I'd rather that than 80 self-help songs that Dr. Phil could probably put across better.

Are you ready for this era to be over?
Nope.
When did you start to lose interest in this era?
Y&I campaign has been pretty boring, but looking forward to MTN.
Do you think this era really needs a lot more singles after Marry the Night?
I want at least Scheisse and HML, she can do wtfever she wants aside from them.
Why do you think this era lost its power so quickly?
She's become very closely associated with queerdom, which is still off-putting to most. Use of imagery that isn't just eccentric (like in the past) but grotesque. The lead single wasn't her best, which hurts after so much hype. *waits for Robyn*
Is this Gaga's worst era so far?
Quality-wise it's her best, IMO. Commercially it is her weakest.

Let's see for myself too
Are you ready for this era to be over? Not yet. I feel it's starting to get better right now.
When did you start to lose interest in this era? I lost interest during the Y&I era, but now I've gained back the interest for MTN.
Do you think this era really needs a lot more singles after "Marry the Night"? Scheibe. At least a video for HML/Bloody Mary
Why do you think this era lost its power so quickly? Lack of what we were used from her - amazing videos, performances. Some questionable fashion use sometimes. Single choices and how they were handled and released are definitely key factors too. But stil, it's not THAT terrible, it's just not above the previous eras in term of execution.
Is this Gaga's worst era so far? Even though the album is better than her previous efforts, I have to admit yes. Only because of the execution and the lack of great videos.

She doesn't have to make music with little-to-no substance; no one's saying that. But she doesn't have to be preachy and pretentious. There has to be a balance since, at the end of the day, she is a pop star and pop music is about fun.

Yoü & I did great for a 4th single but something about it made it seem like the era just stopped. I think it is mainly due to the fact that Yoü & I peaked very early in it's chart run. After it peaked at #6, it continued to decline in sales & Hot 100 position without compensating for that with airplay.
The two main faults with the singles this era are poor organization of promo for the single & the fact that they peak before the song even hits like week 5 on the Hot 100.
Born This Way had longevity & great final sales, but it only ended up spending like the minimum # of weeks it could on the Hot 100 - 20. It also peaked in airplay way too early. Worldwide sales are much higher, of course. It was the only song that will be remembered from the era ATM.
Judas peaked in the first week. This one needs no explaining.
The Edge of Glory had faulty planning, MAJOR. Cancelling Judas early was one of the stupidest mistakes of the era. Not only does it confuse everyone, it looks messy. The majority of the promo for this song was done in a similar time span - another fault with all of the TEOG & on singles of BTW. The promo all comes at the beginning of the single release. She needs to span it evenly out. It's part of the reason her singles peaked so early & just fell afterwards.
Same with Yoü & I - amazing promo in the beginning, & then she sort of left it to die - not the wisest decision with such a risky single choice in the first place.

i want schiebe and americano to be singles but this is her worst era.
if anything, they should have replaced you and i and judas with the two aforementioned songs, but i hope they have a chance.

Are you ready for this era to be over?
I cant decide. Im readu for new music and I believe the public is too but there are 3 issues: 1. this album is her baby; she worked on this for so long and so hard 2. there are still valid smashes left (scheibe, HML, even a summer smash Americano era) 3. we havent ****in started the tour yet and she cant skip it because it will be amazing and she will make so much money too so its not even rly an option
When did you start to lose interest in this era?
Once Y&i peaked, tbh i hope MTN smashes but with every passing day i seem to have less faith in it... i hope it proves me wrong, i rly do. BUT these recent MTN performances have slayed me! THE MOON
Do you think this era really needs a lot more singles after "Marry the Night"?
I think that there are plenty more to choose from and could def pick out another 4 but tbh idk, if MTN has a EOG type of run then i'd like atleast 2 more singles (scheibe then hair/HML) if it does a la judas or even y&i then id say try one last song hair/scheibe then move on
Why do you think this era lost its power so quickly?
I really dont know. Well thats a lie. Honestly i think it was y&i's fault. It is 1 of my fav songs of hers (easily top 10) BUT following up Judas flop with a slightly different gaga in EOG, i think Y&i was to out of left field too fast... if they had flipped y&i and MTN i think we couldve gotten better results for both tbh
Is this Gaga's worst era so far?
This is such a broad question though. Define worst?: worst sales, worst radio, worst money?? YES. Worst music? Absolutely not. Best so far, by farrr.
