The moment I saw the question of what British people are envious of, I knew you were going to say America. I hope you realise that a). this isn't true and b). comments like this really don't do Americans any favours.
The US isn't an empire either.
Tbh, I don't care. In the other thread no one held back on their impressions of Americans and the United States as a whole. I guess that's okay and expected though, right?
This is my impression of mostly English people, not the Irish or Scottish. From what I've experienced, they are envious and extremely, extremely pretentious.

oh the pretentious bit I get, but the being envious of the US? I mean we admire some parts of your culture but very much dislike other bits. I dunno where that impression came from tbh.
(as an example, Americans found lacking British support for our toils in Asia and the Middle East quite offensive; we figured that each nation would simply help the other regardless)

ye here in the uk we are envious of some places but america is definitely not one of them.... the fact you actually think that tho
Some British people are one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet while the most of them come of as snobby, arrogant cocky people, my Geo teacher whose British admitted that himself.
They are also generally hot (except some for their teeth ) and the Cockney accent >>>>
