True. How many straight or gay friends you have doesn't define who you are. I don't agree with the 'badge' thing though. I haven't seen any gay guy walking around bragging about how many straight friends he has. It would certainly be weird if someone does that. For the most part, people just get on with their lives and get closer to people they like. There is no long-lasting desire for gays to have straight friends just to prove something.

Straight guys are so much more relatable and interesting (not in a sexual way) when they're alone with you. You get to see the real people they are inside and you will be surprised to know how vulnerable they are, just like you. Sometimes you think just because you're gay you're more sensitive, more worldly, and have more to prove than straight people. Then you realize everyone's just the same.

When they get in groups though it's like a pack of animals. Not recommended.

Back in high school (ages 13-16 for me) I didn't really have any, and I was kinda bummed about it, so I made an effort at the end of Year 10 to make some and it turned out really well. So last year I made even more, and going into this year I have a ton of friends who are straight guys.

All of my friends are straight.. or at least they claim to be, I don't have any problems with them because they all listen to pop music too and and we have a few things in common

I have like 2-3 gay friends though.
