No. Because his impact is miniscule to the point of damn near irrelevance. I am not going to change my wording to make you feel better. No one knows who he is, no one knows what he looks like, no one knows anything about him and the fact that he sold as little as he has already makes my point for me. Skillrex was mainstreaming
nothing because he has no mainstream support. You cannot argue that Hold It Against Me, Till The World Ends (The Remix) and Femme Fatale (an album with 4-5 dubstep tracks on it) didn't reach more people then Skillrex has in his entire career. This is just fact at this point. Britney mainstreamed the dubstep movement and popularized it for the general public. Fact. Skillrex himself admitted to this in various interviews saying that Britney brought "dubstep" to another level commercially. Accept it.
