That's the thing, you're actually ignorant. You don't actually seem to get it DOES MATTER. You can't compare Gaga's success in pop to her success in jazz.
It doesn't work like that, it's like comparing a male singer to a female singer or a stadium tour to a club tour.
She's making a different kind of music that has a much smaller audience that will get her a different kind of success. The Pop World is a whole different thing to The Jazz World, you clearly don't know that, otherwise you would see what you're saying doesn't make sense.

not sure why you bring Katy in this thread but if you want to compare Gaga's lead single to an album track of an unknown artist then I am really worried about C2C, the decline is very sad I hope she can recover

Whether you want to admit or except it, you are actually WRONG. It does matter what genre Gaga's making because the audience and the attraction will be totally different.
It's not an original but a cover in a genre that is practically dead. So these VARIABLES do matter and are taken into consideration. That's how it works.
1. Surprise release
2. Unpopular genre
3. Cover
I didn't buy it because I have no interest in her Jazz music. Just because I'm a Gaga fan, it doesn't mean I'm going to eat up everything she makes.
