Yeah. However, I feel like she hasn't deviated because she's staying true to herself, not because she's afraid to try something new. I mean, she tried something new with Missundaztood, and then Try This and then I'm Not Dead. All 3 were pretty different. But she's stayed in her area for a while now. She's also older and isn't going to do too many drastic changes. She knows who she is, and she sticks with it. She's not forcing anything. So I don't see why people try to use it as a bad thing? Not saying you, but I feel like people seem to think its such a terrible thing that she knows who she is and sticks with it. The only big "legend" who every changed up her style was Madonna. MJ, Elvis, The Beatles, Mariah, Janet.. they all pretty much stayed true to who they were. Not saying Madonna didn't.. Because thats just who Madonna IS though. She's a free spirit who loves to try new things all the time. Her sound may change, but she never really does. She pulls it off with ease, but she's a rare exception.
There's a difference between constant change and slowly evolving. Pink does the latter.

Also, Britney was used to giving A+ hot performances back then. She can't now
Xtina was used to giving A+ vocal performances, but now she covers it up with sexual performances.
Pink's performances are a vast improvement over the stuff she used to do.

J.lo is known for being a pop culture icon honestly. Yes people know her songs and dancing but she's a even bigger celebrity.

And so..Why P!nk sold 4m per album with the same radio support of people who sold 1m per album worldwide? your point is invalid ![;)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/wink.gif)

She is what the public wants
A talented singer who gives great performances and writes catchy pop songs, some deep meaningful songs, and even plain stupid songs that are still great.

Reading your posts is so refreshing. You stand by your favorite, but you do so in a way that isn't that arrogant or full of shade. I appreciate it. ![clap3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif)

i wouldn't consider having backup dancers with lips on them make her a dancer. ![rainbow](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/a12d0629.gif)
During the stripped days Xtina was black & Latino

Even working with Kurstin now. It's not a bad thing, every artist does it.

First era was manufactured. You can say that she hates her first album.
She threatened to quit unless the label allowed her to make the kind of music she wanted to. Hence she wrote and recorded M!ssundaztood with new producers a la Linda Perry in 2001. Avril, Kelly, Hilary etc all came after that.
Also, she worked with Greg Kurstin in 2005 as well ![rainbow](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/a12d0629.gif)

I'll just say that she is not your typical pop artist which is why she continues to appeal to the public ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

She's super talented and a great performer . She has made some great career moves with the producers she has chosen to work with and the kind of music she chooses to puts out over the years. Even after 12+ years she's still motivated and seems to genuinely like what she does unlike her contemporaries who are either lazy or disinterested in their craft.
It all boils down to where as Britney & Christina have become worse performers/singers/dancers over the years, Pink has only gotten better at what she does.

No it's not. I basically said that artists who are in heavy rotation on radio are guaranteed to "get at least SOME sale" due to shoving the songs down the public's throats. Is that the sole reason she gets sales, no? She has her hardcore fan base, but there's also a lot of illusion going on with P!nk. She's not staying true to herself. Quite the opposite. She's playing it safe most of the time for sales.

Exactly this. She puts in the TIME and EFFORT required for things like the Try video and performance.
