Alex Clare's "Too Close" drops from #9 to #11, ending a 10-week run in the top 10.
Phillip Phillips' "Home" jumps from #14 to #12 in its 21st week. The song has already climbed as high as #9. The song is in its 11th week in the top 10 on Hot Digital Songs. As you probably know, the song got a second wind after being featured on NBC's coverage of women's gymnastics in the Summer Olympics. The song had tumbled as low as #85 on Hot Digital Songs before beginning its TV-fueled comeback. Digital sales rank: #9 (103K). Phillips' The World From The Side Of The Moon is expected to enter The Billboard 200 around #4 next week with sales in the 140K range.
Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" jumps from #18 to #16 in its 14th week. The song tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week.
"Beauty And A Beat" by Justin Bieber featuring Nicki Minaj leaps from #38 to #20 in its sixth week. It's vying to become the third top 10 hit from Bieber's album Believe, which tops the 1 million mark in sales this week. Minaj's own hit "Va Va Voom" is also moving like a top 10 hit. The song leaps from #46 to #26 in its fifth week.
Adele's "Skyfall" leaps from #33 to #21 in its seventh week (or should I say, 007th week). The song has climbed as high as #8. Digital sales rank: #6 (120K)…Mumford & Sons' "I Will Wait" rebounds from #36 to #30 in its 15th week. The song has climbed as high as #23…"Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia featuring John Martin jumps from #48 to #33 in its ninth week. The song hit #1 in the U.K. in October…Frank Ocean's "Thinking Bout You" jumps from #43 to #35 in its 19th week. Ocean is expected to receive nominations in all four of the marquee categories when the Grammy nominations are announced on Dec. 5.
One Direction's "Little Things" is the week's top new entry at #41. Digital sales rank: #10 (91K). The song debuts at #1 on The Official U.K. chart this week. "Kiss You," a second song by the boy band, enters the Hot 100 at #95. The quintet's sophomore album Take Me Home sold 540K copies this week. That's more than three times as many copies as its debut album, Up All Night, sold when it bowed at #1 in March with first-week sales of 176K.
."Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis jumps from #55 to #42 in its seventh week…P!nk's "Try" leaps from #69 to #50 in its fourth week following P!nk's simple, understated performance of the song on the AMAs. (It was anything but, but it was an impressive athletic feat.)…"Don't Stop The Party" by Pitbull featuring TJR leaps from #81 to #61 in its fifth week. Pitbull's album, Global Warming, is expected to sell about 35K copies in the coming week.
"A Thousand Years (Part 2)" by Christina Perri featuring Steve Kazee is the week's second-highest new entry at #67. The song is from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Perri's initial recording of "A Thousand Years," which was featured in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, reached #31 earlier this year. It has sold nearly 2 million copies. As you may have read in Chart Watch: Albums, Twilight this week ties Star Wars as the movie franchise that has spawned the most top 10 soundtrack albums (five).
Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" jumps from #83 to #71 in its 12th week…Kelly Clarkson's "Catch My Breath" leaps from #96 to #74 in its fourth week. Clarkson's Greatest Hits: Chapter One will probably either just make or just miss the top 10 next week, with sales in the 45K range…"The Only Way I Know" by Jason Aldean with Luke Bryan and Eric Church leaps from #93 to #78 in its second week…The Weeknd's "Wicked Games" leaps from #91 to #81 in its third week.
"Just A Fool" by Christina Aguilera featuring Blake Shelton debuts at #92. It's from Aguilera's Lotus, which enters The Billboard 200 at #7 this week. This is the second chart hit pairing Aguilera and a fellow judge on The Voice. "Moves Like Jagger," her 2011 collabo with Adam Levine's group, Maroon 5, logged four weeks at #1. "Sweet Nothing" by Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch re-enters the chart at #97. It's from his album 18 Months. The song reached #1 on the Official U.K. chart in October…2 Chainz' "I'm Different" debuts at #98. It's from his former #1 album Based On A T.R.U. Story…"Celebration" by Game featuring Chris Brown, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne re-enters at #100. It's from Game's sixth studio album, Jesus Piece, which is due Dec. 11.
