But no one said that ST had a better social message and that it should have won for that. DG1 was replying to a specific comment about the message of the song.

I know, and my comment isn't really a personal comment. I'm just wondering, because it's true like I still feel Beyonce was robbed of her award too. Everything she did in 2013-2014 that award should of been hers.

But here for TIHTY the message does matter, because in relation to the movie the impact of the message is what drove the song to be written. So yes, it does matter. Dismissing that fact is silly. I do think Writings on the Wall is a great song, but at the same time it's been spoken as one of the worst Bond themes ever.
