Yes, a SINGER-songwriter. I accept she can write songs but she is failing at the singing part isn't she. There's a place for songwriters and there is a place for singers. If you can do both, brilliant, but if you are only good at one, stick to your talent.
I hear her voice singing on the radio and I LISTEN to her albums so she must at least be implying to us that she is a singer and she has certainly never denied it.
Sis u realize taylor has never actually sued a fan and she doesn't personally remove videos from yt, right? Her team, label, and distributor is in charge of all that.
and i don't even love gaga like that, but i agree. gaga's speeches were way more heartfelt.
i feel like everything taylor does is a pr stunt, and very scripted. she does these things cuz she knows they'll get recorded and put online and clean the image that people are starting to see thru as of late because she says and tells her fans all these amazing things then pulls their videos from offline, or their picturesor sues them for putting her quote on a mug or what have u
of course its scripted its a song interlude, that said she only follows the skeleton of the script and does her own thing with the rest.
this tbh no wonder both get along tbh. they like to spread love. whether it be sincere or not it still puts a smile in some ppl's faces and that is all that truly matters tbh
Don't almost all popstars make inspirational speeches midway through their concerts before a ballad?
This doesn't seem particularly unique to me, but Taylor always gets the most popular version of whatever trend she's doing regardless of how much it's been done before. Her power is commendable.

this exactly!!!! Gaga, Nicki and Bey do this, Fifth Harmony do this, Little Mix etc but they dont get hate and are praised (as they should be) but when Taylor does it suddenly there is a hate fest. why? because its "not sincere"? oh plz
transparency at its finest.
like so many others said, if it helps even 1 person out...then mission accomplished

I'm a supporter of these types of speeches because they can really help out and inspire a lot of the fans.

exactly! this is how most ppl should be like. if something is positive why drench it in negativity?
we already have so much hate in our 21st century world, why be a part of it right?

Taylor sings. She is a singer. Whether she's good or not is up for debate. So why wouldn't she be called a singer? You're being absolutely ridiculous. It's part of what she does for a living.
Yeah, as a stan, I can admit that she isn't an amazing singer. But in the proper setting, she can be great. She's a package, her songs are personal to and specific to her....she has an image as an artist, and if she's got the immense talent she has with writing (and great charisma on stage), she's got enough talent to back up her artistry.
And again, she's a decent singer at the core of it, and good enough to sing her extremely well written songs.
Her voice is definitely best suited to folk and country stuff but anyway, she's got enough talent as a songwriter and is good enough of a singer to sing those songs.
