The Emmy's are all politics. It's not even about acting or quality, it's about connections and perception. ABC Family shows aren't perceived as quality (for good reason) so they don't really get looked at by the big award shows.
Nicki could totally win an Emmy one day, just probably not for this vehicle. I hope she does more adult tv projects one day. I would love to see her on Power or a really good drama. Good god tho, not empire.
