PNP is not a summer song. It is not the pop song you here on Pop radio. TNISY is a different story, but we won't speak on that. To say people are not here for her Pop stuff anymore is just false no matter how you spin it.

I didn't say PNP was a summer song. I agree it's not, hence it being a dumb single choice. Maxx sis, if See You Again was a pop radio song, so was PnP. Pop just said no thanks. Ironically, urban picked it up which no one saw coming at the time.


My point is, there's no need for her to try to keep doing the dual format thing. Her pop features take care of her on pop radio, she should just focus on making urban with crossover appeal, which she mostly did with TPP to her credit.

Aside from her rapping (which means nothing since rapping on a pop song isn't exactly new for her) what about PNP is not pop Maxx?

Pop beat, pop hook, was sent to pop radio. If Katy or Rihanna had recorded it, there would be no debate it's a pop song.


I digress tho. I'm not saying pop Nicki is bad, "no one is here for her" is an exaggerated statement by nature, but my point is just that I think in general the public saw Nicki as a rap legend in the making, not a pop star. She won either way, not knocking her, just saying I don't think it was ever necessary to go that route in th first place if she felt it was.
