Well, that's a fact, the recurrent airplay proves that Mariah's singles were never really big here in the first place so it's understandable, but the gap is huge. I mean, 15 songs getting more airplay than Mariah's...

It's not just her huge songs that were #1 for multiple weeks that are well known though, for example 'Don't Tell Me' is one of her most remembered songs here based on what I've seen and that peaked at #4 and spent 10 weeks on the chart.

You say that she only has one song in the UK top 1500, but she has 5 albums compared to Mariah's 2, and after the Brit's performance it was like this:

That finale was so powerful, I completely loved it! It reminded me about The Sopranos finale because it was so powerful (even though it wasn't even half as good but it was perfect too).
