I think they might be more popular than they were back then? Idk for sure because I don't follow sales/charts but it just seems like it.

Like honestly the scene has not changed much. I was afraid to look back into K-Pop because I thought I'd be so out of the loop but everything is still pretty much the same except certain groups like Girl's Day who were flops back then are apparently super relevant now.

yeah, i noticed.

but I looked up Inkigayo and Music Core set list the other day, and did not know 90% of the groups. A lot of rookie flops. Only 3 groups out of the known ones.

also, i have not heard from groups such as B2ST and Infinite in a long time. i have been youtubing a lot of kpop related stuff lately and all I see is BIGBANG (due to their comeback probs), tons of EXO mentions, and yeah...Red Velvet. Oh and AOA

I actually recall being disgusted at AOA when they debuted, but their new trashy image seems to be popular. I like MiniSkirt tho, not so much the others.

Haven't music programs been mostly rookie flops since years ago? I only ever watched my faves' performances so idk.

The way I remember it was, only like 1-3 relevant groups are promoting at any given time because they tend to avoid competition with other groups near their tier. Seems like it's still like that. Tbh I always hated that about K-Pop.

I don't get AOA, they're like epitome of generic to me. Their stale Brave Bros tracks still sound the same as Sistar hits from 2012.

yeah, true. but like...it seems to be even worse now. You'd think with the amount of groups, they'd overlap more often.

the basicness differently took over, ever since 2012. The only good news I've heard is T-ara being over Lkirby2: it was HELL to see Lukitoo posting the sales of Roly Poly and LOVEY DOVEY and the other rehashes for months and months, and their basic asses slaughtering my faves good riddance!

AOA seem basic as **** yes, their video are a cheap mess and so is their image. hmm but i think they have like 2-3 interesting members, but ofc they have to add another trillion girls...just because...KPOP!
