I've been searching for one for ages. The site has been glitchy and nearly non-functional for a while now, and this update could quite be the straw that breaks the camel's back. And judging from its yearly reports, it's suffering pretty bad profit losses year after year anyway. It seems like it's on its way out.
If ever there were a time for a Last.fm competitor to enter the fray, it'd be now.

Last.fm is used primarily for tracking your listening habits, not for actually listening to music.
