It seems the Melon New Artist award is ACTUALLY based on debut title tracks. If that's the case then that's why BlackPink won, their fist two singles were title tracks but even if it was just Whistle it beat all the competition in sales. You all need to contact Melon and ask for the criteria. Because why the hell would Melon even let BlackPink compete for the award if it was based on how many tracks each artist has in a year. That's not fair, it should be based ONLY on the debut title track sales because that would make sense.
