I get that, I really do. But to suggest that 25 wouldn't have impacted Spotify massively if it had been released there initially, is really blinkered and just comes across as ingenuous.
Now, if they said that they think 25 would have done really well on streaming initially, but slowly faded out due to the demographics, I would have agreed. However, I just can't buy that 25 would have flopped on Spotify if it had been released earlier. It doesn't make one bit of sense. Hello literally broke records, but like you said, failed quicker than many would have liked. I suspect that the same would have happened to 25. No one is saying that 25 would have had Drake kind of longevity on Spotify.
I just can't seem to get my head around how people still underestimate Adele to this very day. She literally scalped every living person in the music industry, and to say that after breaking first week sales records and highest streaming/sales records for hello, that she wouldn't have slayed Spotify, is just absolute delusion. There's no other word for it.
Disagree all you like but you know I'm right. I've tried to give you all the benefit of the doubt with regards to what you're trying to convey, but you need to word your point better if you don't want people to correct you.
