I actually love the Pokemon's design. Although people are starting to riot over it on Serebii forums.

I'm pretty sure the middle stages of the starters for Diamond & Pearl were revealed before the games were released.
The Pokemon Company showed them on that website video game thing they had to promo D/P.

I definitely like the blue one better, the front has both mascots, but the back is so plain with only the starters.
The gold one is nice and detailed, but when will anyone want to look at the back of my system?
But also the system is preloaded with either X or Y and species availability is a big factor to me
