Ratios are pointless if the artist isn't that successful in certain areas. Rihanna gets called global by the fomos because she's never been a true force in the US so her album sales internationally obviously appear bigger even when in actual numbers they aren't that great.

Rihanna has 3 million selling albums in the UK, two of which are nearly at 2 million sold, she also has the most million singles in the UK out of the pop girls. Neither Taylor or Beyoncè have those credentials in the UK or any other European country, or any other country except the US for that matter.
Balance is key. Being known in all major markets and selling well is better than selling well in one market but being virtually unknown in the others.

Rihanna is a singles artist in the US. All her albums bar 2 were relative under performers. Her ratio is good because of that. Rihanna will never be what you guys think she is. Lol. She's no Taylor, she's no ADELE, and she's no Beyonce.
