It's not Only 8 million people watch Game of Thrones every week. 77 million people approx saw Avengers in theatres, and that's not counting DVD purchases.

I like GoT too but there's a reason that show is launching film careers, as opposed to the Avengers (which sucks tbh) launching TV careers

Film is always the pinnacle, and it's the reason why only the most A list pop stars like Madonna, Eminem, Britney, and *sigh* Beyonce get those gigs.
