Imagine if Celine announced a WW farewell tour.
Madge should fear that day.
Makes me think of when she said in that interview she was dreaming about Nippy's song going #1 and not hers.
But the biggest kii is when you remember Whitney's comment.
"What do I think of Madonna? I don't think about her."
Nippy knew she was owning Madonna there for years. Luvs it.
Whitney said that about Mariah when Mariah was a new artist. Whitney threw some shade at Madonna over her collaborating with Babyface.
Just Dance is good but I feel like it's semi-forgotten/overlooked.
Poker Face definitely takes the cake from The Fame.
Her first classic.
By 2010 I thought she'd have at least five in total but it ain't looking good.

Tbh if whitney released more she could've outsold madonna. Pre 2001 madonna was only like 20m ahead despite way more releases
Poker Face, Just Dance, and Bad Romance are classics. 3 is enough.
Rihanna only had 2 after the same amount of time in her career (Umbrella, WFL). From 2003-2009 Beyonce only had Crazy In Love, Irreplaceable, and Single Ladies.

She does have 5 classics tho
Poker Face
Just Dance
Bad Romance
Telephone
Born this way
"Classics" are subjective, and I'd argue that some of Beyoncé's smaller hits are bigger classics than some of Gaga's and even Rihanna's hits. Stuff like "Listen" and "Love on Top" will live on for a long time. Can't say the same for stuff like "Lovegame" or "S&M."

5 classic songs is pretty hard.
Oh I agree, 3 classics is still really great, but by that point she was owning everything and everybody so hard I couldn't really see her not gaining more with Born This Way.
And then it was released.
Preaching to the choir.
I've said that since I started following the charts. Nippy could've easily passed her if she released more material for sure.
Whitney will be remembered forever for her voice though
Why was she called nippy tho like idgi, i know her family called her it but I just dont understand haha. It makes me think of strange stuff.

I wouldn't go that far tho
listen is definitely a singing contest classic tho the sheer amount of covers.

I would go that far. "Love on Top" has that old school feel that many families (especially those of ethnic backgrounds) will play at BBQs, family reunions and weddings. Where would stuff like "Lovegame," "S&M" and some of Gaga's and Rihanna's forgotten hits will be played other than on their stans' media player after its all said and done? A song being a moderate hit initially does not stop it from being remembered, referenced or appreciated years down the line, same with a big hit does not guarantee it some classic status.
And since VEVO views are a thing for people here, "Love on Top" exceeds both.
If you're a monster and can't argue me with some valid points other than some delusion like "Queen Gaga STILL Slays!1!!," then don't quote me. Otherwise, let me right like I usually am 90% of the time.
