So a literature is an unneeded crap since authors are not as huge as actors and there's no literature awards bigger than the Oscars?

Movies have always been bigger and always will be. There are not that many people who are ready to buy an album instead of watching a movie. Still doesn't mean a sh!t

The biggest criticism pop stars get here is involvement in their careers. Well the actors do not write their scripts and they are literally told what to do, what to say, what to emote etc on film. That's something only Ke$ha has gone through.

Cinema is DEFINITELY bigger than music. Sure, everyone listens to music, but in general that's more of a background thing (both literally playing in the background, & just being a background aspect in people's lives).

Actors would have amazing conversations because they try to act intellectual and come across as so. Angelina and Brad will spend all day talking about world issues in front of the public but probably talk about the same dumb **** behind doors.

Plus that iCloud hack showed those actors are just as ratchet as Pop Stars privately.

I prefer music because it's just something I can spend all day on and love more. I can listen to an amazing album 300 times. I can't watch a movie more than a few times no matter how amazing it is even though they're both 1-2 hours.

I mean a pop star like rihanna gets dragged for just singing something that others wrote for her over an instrumental made by someone else. How is that different from actors just performing what was written for them, according to directions given to them by the director?

Directors and editors definitely do have an extreme effect on an actor though, their influence cannot be swept under the rug. For example, Natalie Portman can be brilliant in a movie with a good director (Black Swan, Closer, Cold Mountain, Leon) or *******e (the rest of her career).

as opposed to movies which are in the forefront of everybody's lives? They listen to music everywhere and all the time. They watch movies for 2 hours and maybe discuss it 1 hour after.

Cinema is a bigger industry because it's more commercialized. You can make music in your basement or in the middle of Zimbabwe, it's more of a natural thing.

The average human consumes music more and will always use it more even if the music industry is below the movie industry. Not to mention music has existed long before movies. Music is naturally everywhere, YouTube for free, radio for free, etc.

And honestly you could argue people respect music more. People are willing to pay $300 for a two hour concert.

Who's willing to pay $300 for a two hour movie?
