So because he wasn't on the street corner selling crack, he cannot claim to be 'starting from the bottom'.
Perhaps the fact he, as a 'kinda sorta black' person, he had to try extra extra hard to be taken seriously as those rappers who are fundamentally African-American.
Or the fact that while he may have biracial privilege, he has to further black stereotypes in order to be more #real.
Its people like you that have this mindset which is why black folk continue to be misrepresented in mass media and societal discourse.
