I slept until 4 pm today
I'm glad this is ending, even though it was fun. I'll try to take this week a biT more seriously (I'll also bump up one of last week's planned tour dates as well so I can have 5 this week) but if it's after 11, I'm just going to be getting off the computer ASAP.

Not sure if I'm just going to promote Zedd's album or try to sell more copies of "Temple."
What will probably happen is that I get my 5 tour dates done this week and that's it

Mariah Carey MTV Unplugged
Last week, Mariah Carey's was nominated for 3 awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, and she managed to win a nod for on the Best R&B/Hip-Hop Video category for "The Stygian Chevalier" video. "I am truly grateful to get an award for the video. First things first, I'll have to thank god for blessing me and showing me the way. I have to thank the label for supporting me in everything I've done so far, and I have to thank Brett Ratner for directing "The Stygian Chevalier" video. Lastly, I have to thank the fans for being by my side all these years and voting for me to win an award.", Mariah said after she accepted the award from Drake herself.
After the VMAs, rumors were circulating that Mariah and MTV made a deal to have a MTV Unplugged session. MTV confirmed the matter, saying that Mariah will be performing an Unplugged Session soon, and tickets will be out. The Unplugged session tickets were selling like hot cakes after its official release and has since sold out in less than an hour. This shocked market analysis, saying that even after 24 years in the music industry, Mariah still manage to sell out an Unplugged session. Critics have also spoken, saying that Mariah's take on the MTV Unplugged session is a risk, and that it may be compared to her last MTV Unplugged session back in the early 90s. "She needs to step up the game on a whole new level this time, as people will compare her last MTV session to this one for sure.", a critic from Daily Mail wrote. The MTV Unplugged session was aired live on the MTV channel, bringing in 8 million viewers from the United States alone. The hashtag #MCMTVUnplugged was trending for 7 hours even before the session was even aired on live television. Mariah revealed the setlist for the MTV Unplugged session moments before the session.
Setlist:
1. Libidinous Dream
2. Disguise
3. Claim My Throne/Rescue (Yuna Cover) Medley Remix
4. Peasants
5. I'm Not Done
The setlist shocked the public and critics that Mariah will be performing songs from her latest album, "The Stygian Chevalier", and not her past songs. Some fans expressed disappointment as they were hoping that Mariah would perform some of her old songs like "Vision Of Love" and "Always Be My Baby". Still they said they were excited to see Mariah personally and cannot wait for the performance. For the MTV Unplugged session, it was held in a huge auditorium in New York. Mariah Carey wore a beautiful red gown which has glitter covering certain parts of her gown and a pair of black stilettos. Sporting a straight hair and and a golden 1950s inspired microphone, Mariah Carey walked on stage gracefully as the crowd in the auditorium cheered for her.
The stage for the MTV Unplugged performances was very simple. It only features a live band and a simple LED screen behind her back. For the performance of "Libidinous Dream", it had a different intro. It features the backing choir and Mariah singing the chorus acapella which reminded people of her "Emotions" Unplugged performance before the whole live band played the instrumental of the song. The interacted with the audience well during the performance too as the performance came to an stunning end. She wasted no time and quickly transitioned into "Disguise", where she performed with only the backing choir and the piano. The LED screen shown black and white pictures of her looking forlorn and in despair. She cried during the live performance as she belted out the lyrics of the last chorus. The performance received a standing ovation from the crowd and some people in the crowd were seen crying after the emotional performance.
After the emotional performance that Mariah gave, she sat down for a short Q&A session with the audience. She answered all the questions truthfully one by one. She also answered questions posted from twitter and Facebook too. After the Q&A session, she performed a medley remix of "Claim My Throne" and a cover of Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna's "Rescue". The performance was great as Mariah walked around the stage belting out her song as she smoothly transitioned into the cover of Yuna's "Rescue". She made the song her own by belting out her signature notes and whistle notes too in the end. "This is dedicated to the peasants out there AKA Nicki Minaj and Paris 'Fake' Hilton, who tries to come at me but ended up in jail. Peasants will always be peasants......", Mariah says as the acoustic intro of "Peasants" kick in. She gave an energetic performance as she danced effortlessly on stage even though she was wearing a gown and stilettos. The LED screen showed distorted faces, shady meme and photoshopped faces of Nicki Minaj and Paris Hilton as the performance was on. Mariah laughed a few times during the performance of "Peasants" as she belted out the last chorus "You're just a peasant/Nothing more than a chicken". The performance made the crowd laugh too and she received a standing ovation for the second time as Mariah stood gracefully on stage.
The final performance for the MTV Unplugged session came as she got ready to sing "I'm Not Done". She sang the gospel-inspired song with emotions as her voice cracked a few times during the performance. A gospel choir appeared from the back of the stage to backup Mariah in the final chorus. She then did an extended acapella outro all by herself at the end. The MTV Unplugged session received rave reviews from the critics, saying that the vocals and performances surpasses the standard held by Mariah herself during her first MTV Unplugged session. They also said that promotions like this were supposed to be done on the release week of her album and not now. The public also responded well to the session, saying Mariah's vocals were exceptional and in great shape. Camouflage Records have since release an acoustic EP to support the album and a special bundle edition of the album is released which includes the album and the acoustic MTV Unplugged EP. Physical sales of Mariah's album have experienced an increase in sales due to the MTV Unplugged EP that was released along with the album together. It was also reported that 25,000 copies of Mariah's special bundle edition album was sold in under 2 hours too. A digital release of the MTV Unplugged EP aided the sales of the album back to the top the Global iTunes album charts.

Title: Sun-kissed
Length: 4:20
Genre: Pop/Indie-Pop/Reggae

You can't help yourself
Your eyes are gazing over me and I like it
Oh I like the way you look at me
I like the way it feels when the sun comes over me
I love this beautiful day, when I'm in your arms, and nothing can harm me..no
Baby I’m sun-kissed and I like it 'cause I look so good
That glowing skin that keeps you mesmerized
Baby you keep staring, you wanna get a taste of my body
Sun-kissed hot and ready to go-oh-oh
Everything's better with a little color
Everything's better when we're with each other
I know you like what you see and you want what you like
You're waiting for the perfect moment to strike me with your eyes..
Strike me with your lips.. strike me with your kiss.. and strike me with that beautiful, sun-kissed glow
Show me your body baby
Let me touch what I want
Let me feel it, pull me close and push it in
You got this perfect sun-kissed look and it looks like you're just what I want
So give me all you got
Your body's like a fantasy, now come and take control of me.. oh
oh oh oh oh
you got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
you got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
i got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
i got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
Baby I’m sun-kissed and I like it 'cause I look so good
That glowing skin that keeps you mesmerized
Baby you keep staring, you wanna get a taste of my body
Sun-kissed hot and ready to go-oh-oh
Summer aint gonna last forever
But while it does we can be together
Under the sun with all our love and lust and laughs and fun
The sun-kissed glow is all we want
Over our skin and I want you inside me baby
Let it go, kiss all over my sun-kissed glow-oh-oh
oh oh oh oh
you got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
you got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
i got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
oh oh oh oh
i got that sun-kissed glow
that sun-kissed glow
Britney Spears released a new single titled "Sun-kissed" on August 3rd. The single immediately received a promotional banner on iTunes and is the lead single off of the re-release of the "American Dream" album, the third single of Britney's era. The song takes advantage of the ending summer as Spears sings about an attraction two people have for each other, bringing up the obsession with a "sun-kissed glow". The single was penned by Britney & Max Martin and produced by Scott Storch, Danja, and Max Martin. The "sun-kissed" single has an indie-pop/pop sound resembling the likes of "Stars Are Blind" while keeping a fresh and updated feel. The song is perfect for listening while at the beach or when with the one you love in the privacy of your own bedroom, or while in the car on the way to the beach. Britney's new single "Sun-kissed" will apply to a large demographic as it does not target one specific buyer. The song will focus on promoting the re-release of her "American Dream" album as she plans to boost sales for the album while also promoting "Sun-kissed" as an official single. Britney took a week off last week to focus on "The Pop Bible" re-release of American Dream, she recorded 8 new songs and has decided to use "Sun-kissed" to promote the new release. The single was released on iTunes immediately at midnight and received promotion from Britney on twitter, blasting to the #1 spot after only one hour of being released.

Britney Spears Noon ClearChannel + Top 40 Pop Radio Premiere + Radio Deal For "Sun-kissed"
Britney is back with a new single after a break week with "Sun-kissed" the infectious summer pop jam about a "sun-kissed" glow enticing Spears to "get it on". Britney wrote the song with hit maker Max Martin and is using the song as a promotional tool for her re-release of "American Dream". After being released on iTunes at midnight, Spears decided to give "Sun-kissed" a big boost 12 hours later with a big radio premiere. Britney had her song "Sun-kissed" premiere on radio for the first time at noon eastern standard time. The song had a ClearChannel + Top 40 Pop radio premiere, meaning that the song was played simultaneously on the over 300 ClearChannel radio stations and on all of the top 40 pop radio stations.
Britney had a message before the premiere saying: "Hey guys this is Britney Spears and I'm about to play my new single 'Sun-kissed' off my new re-release for the American Dream album which is in stores everywhere and on iTunes now, so I hope you like the song and I hope you guys can check out the new release of my album, love you guys!"
The song premiered on over 340 radio stations in the US, including all of the top 40 pop radio stations. This resulted in a huge amount of airplay and audience for her single solely after the first play. Britney also bought a radio deal for her new single. The song will play once an hour on every ClearChannel station for the next week which will provide the song with over 50k spins alone first week. To increase the spins and audience + to target a specific demographic, Britney has also purchased a radio deal with the Top 40 Pop radio stations to play her song every hour. This will help Britney target the pop demographic and give her song many more spins and a larger audience.
The radio-deal is identical to the deal purchased last week by label-mate Paris Hilton. It seems as though Paris' ways have motivated Britney to buy a similar deal with radio stations. Britney is also telling fans to request "Sun-kissed" on pop radio stations in order to potentially win free tickets to her Naughty Girl Tour which will be moving to North America this week. With a huge radio premiere + radio deal, her single will be heard at all times. The song has already topped the iTunes chart in over 110 countries and received a huge boost in America after the radio premiere. The surprise release of the single/re-release album also turned out to be a huge and smart decision by Britney. After a week of little to no promotion by the songstress, Britney dropped a re-release of her huge summer album and a new single for fans to enjoy, by taking over the iTunes banners WW Spears drew a lot of attention to both of her releases. The radio deal is providing a lot of steam to Sun-kissed which in turn will help promote the re-release of her "American Dream" album which spawned the biggest hit of the summer and the re-release plans to spawn another big hit with "Sun-kissed", this radio premiere and release is only the beginning.

Night 13
Britney Spears embarks on her “Naughty Girl” stadium tour to promote her new album “American Dream” as the tour is filled with tracks off the album. The tour follows Britney’s life from the “Dreaming Days” before fame to the “Hollywood Babe” of Britney in her prime, to her “Rebellious Heart” and troubles of the past year and to her current “Naughty Girl” style as she embarks on the current era of her career. The tour is filled with incredible visuals and effects, the interludes are beautiful and sexy. Britney stuns in her outfits as her body is on point, the choreography is incredible and the stage features are amazing. Britney uses several flying platforms and additional stage platforms that rise up high in the air so the whole audience can catch a glimpse of her. Several fire/water effects are used as huge light shows create a technically advanced feel for the tour. Britney pushes the limits and even ties her herself up in a glass box of water to open the “Rebellious Heart” set, she bangs against the glass frame as she tries to escape, scaring the life out of fans in the stadium as she purposely panics. The costumes are sexy and scandalous and leave little to the imagination, Britney certainly pulled out all the stops for this tour as it truly is her biggest production yet.

Earlier this morning, Mariah Carey uploaded a video of her "The Stygian Chevalier" performance at the VMAs on YouTube which was never showed on television. Mariah added that she was sad that the performance was not shown on television. The VMAs team have since addressed the matter, saying that technical problems have led to Mariah's performance of "The Stygian Chevalier" not being shown on live television. People were shocked that Mariah actually performed at the VMAs. And so it made the hashtag #MCelusiveperformance and #MCVMAs was trending on twitter for a duration of 8 hours worldwide due to the fact that Mariah's performance was not shown on television.
For Mariah's VMAs performance, she was wearing a beautiful turquoise gown with small studded Swarovski diamonds by the side. She was also wearing a pair of peach stilettos which is inspired by seashells and also to give Mariah a mermaid look. Her hair was tied up and she finished her looks with a pair of golden earring which is only clipped on and not pierced on to prevent any injuries during the performance. The stage was decorated into an abandoned Atlantis Sanctuary. Beautiful ocean materials such as fake seashells and pillars was placed on stage.
Mariah did some whistle runs for warmup as the intro of "The Stygian Chevalier" kick in. The LED screens showed beautiful pictures such as mermaids and sea animals swimming in the depths of the ocean and also clips of Mariah herself swimming in the depths of the ocean laughing. The lightings shined blue and violet colored lights all over the stage as Mariah sang the verses. Dancers came out to join Mariah as the second chorus was about to kick in. Although she didn't dance because she was standing on a pillar-like platform, her vocals were well rested and is in a very good shape.
Fog came out of everywhere on the stage as the song's instrumental came to a sudden pause. A loud audible sound was heard as Mariah was seen falling down from the pillar. People were gasping and were in shock of the incident when suddenly the song's instrumental came back on and Mariah was seen coming out of a seashell near the platform, where she was performing just moments ago. The crowd roared in excitement as Mariah finished the last chorus with her melisma runs and her famous hand tic movements. After the performance ended, Mariah stood on the stage like a queen as the crowd were cheering and a standing ovation was given to Mariah as the camera pans across the crowd.
The video of the performance has since been viewed over 7 million times since its upload on YouTube. The performance receive rave reviews from critics and the public alike for its effortlessness of vocals and stage presence Mariah had given. People rushed to buy it on iTunes and Google Play but was shocked that it was not available for purchase. Mariah has since revealed that she wants to sell the album as a piece of artwork, and not selling the songs individually. This incident led people to buy the whole album, which in turn help the sales of Mariah's latest album, "The Stygian Chevalier".

Zedd: Moment of Serenity World Tour – Night 7 (Six Flags Magic Mountain)
Zedd continued his worldwide Moment of Serenity Tour at Six Flags Magic Mountain tonight. This concert was held at a temporary venue in an empty field next to the park, allowing for many fans to watch the concert. As this leg will have varying stage specifications to conform to various venues, there isn’t a specified stage design (it also isn’t completed for the other legs yet). Besides, it probably is best not to have expensive stage equipment sitting outside, exposed to the elements. Anyway, the stage pretty much consists of the stage itself and an HD video screen, as well as the necessary equipment for the concert, such as lighting and speakers.
The concert started at approximately 6 pm local time. The park did not need to close the park as the venue was outside the park; however, the park was pretty much dead after 5:30 pm. 74,412 fans packed into the general admission lawn area. At this concert, standard lawn tickets were $65, 30,000 VIP tickets were $100 (a section towards the from-middle to the stage), 10,000 Super VIP tickets were $150 (closer to the stage), and 20 Ultra VIP tickets (special area in front of stage + meet and greet) were $200; a total of four others were given away in Los Angeles. Zedd also chooses a random person from the Super VIP section to join the meet and greet. This concert is the largest yet of the tour; it is sure to bring in a huge amount of revenue to the tour. Concertgoers have all declared the concert amazing, despite an official stage design.
The concept of the concert is that Zedd is a DJ working his way up in the world. He starts out with an introduction that explains the backstory of the concert. After the introduction, Zedd finds himself DJing at a house party. He does a couple of tracks for them and then he leaves. There is an interlude of Conduit prior to him arriving at his next gig: a rave. He plays the Gaga-inspired track “Slay,” and then Lady Gaga herself makes a surprise appearance to sing “Temple,” “Stache,” and “Aura.” Zedd then realizes he needs to break free of this monotone life of DJing. He runs off the stage, leaving in the middle of “Shave It Up.” He returns when the song finishes and begins to break free of his monotone life of being a small-time DJ to make his move into what he was longing for, the EDM industry as a whole. Of course, during part of this he plays “Break Free.” He ends up finding success and no longer has a single problem in his life.
During the concert, every song from Serenity was performed. The concert started out with “Beautiful Sky,” which transitioned smoothly into “G.U.Y.” The rest of the concert incorporated all of the songs of Serenity, some of Clarity, and two Zedd songs from ARTPOP. As the concert ended, Zedd made a short speech: “As you all may already know, my friend Marina and the Diamonds is currently in a medically-induced coma. I was actually in the car next to her, so I had to watch the whole thing. It was terrible. Luckily she is still alive, but who knows for how long. We were supposed to tour together, but she cancelled the tour due to low album sales. No one expected this to happen. In honor of her, I will play a few of her songs.” Zedd then played his remixes of “Primadonna,” “Happy Meal,” “Where The Diamonds Grow,” and “Myths.” All of those remixes were meant to debut on Marina’s tour, but were not for obvious reasons, so he finished them up and added them to his encore. After “Myths” ended, roaring applause and a 3-minute standing ovation came from the audience. People then left to buy Serenity and “Temple” at shops and booths nearby the venue.
