Speaking of Julie Andrews, why did she star in two of the biggest hits and classics of all time back to back, win and Oscar, and literally disappear for decades?
I think she went to theater for a long time. She's excellent in Victor Victoria in the 80s.
Kanye EP'd Big Sean's new album and it's A+, so I'm sure R8 will be just as great.
She will sell fine, too. She's still more culturally important than Gag, so.
I have no tolerance for this forum's ridiculous obsession with this random Wendy Williams person. I would never have even heard of her if it weren't for these forum trolls and for that I will forever hate them.
She's literally a non-factor lol. I first heard of her when I came here.

It's sad, because she could have become a bigger legend than Babs w/ ease.
As much as I love her, I will never forget the humility that was forced on her. I will never forget how cocky she was pre-Artpop. And btw, RihLord had some decency of not tweeting video links, promising gifts e.t.c if people purchased any of her songs like the desperate Gaga.
And 45S is good, Towards The Sun is ok too. They are just not great and on par of Rihlord's other lead singles.
We better get ready, Rihlord is about to get dragged to infinity and beyond (45S is already a bigger hit than any Beyst single in the past 5-6 years, so we are ok in that department).
The Sound of Music was the biggest box office hit of all time upon release; it's still the 3rd biggest movie of all time adjusted for inflation. I never got the appeal. Some nun hiding from the Nazis and twirling on a hill
At this point it's really tiring with the back and forth with the Beysts fans, like FFS wasn't bigger worldwide and has already sold half of what Drunk in vines did worldwide.
Singles are Rihanna's bread and butter. Unlike Bey. So more emphasis is placed on their performance for her. Every single flopped and BEYONCE still sold 4-5 million. Rihanna had 2/3 big hits and Unapologetic is at 3.5-4.5 million.
The difference isn't huge and, who knows, their albums could in fact be the exact same amount sold, BUT the route Bey and Rih take to get there are very different. Rihanna absolutely NEEDS singles. 45S performance is only an indication of bad things to come. The last time this happened, we had Rated R sales.
The whole "LOL you still stan for Gaga in 2015" is such a weak argument now that she got a standing ovation from Meryl Streep & Clint Eastwood just two nights ago.
Meryl: respected & loved, last movie was a box office hit & got her an Oscar nom
Clint: treated as a God, American Sniper destroyed the box office
Madonna: talentless, lead single currently not in the top 300 on iTunes

She can turn this around in a second with a great song, but seeing how things are going (I mean, she has a song with Princess, WTF), the future doesn't look so bright.

A quick glance at her wiki shows that she had back-to-back blockbusters following TSOM, then two massive flops right after those. Then in the 70s-90s she had a variety of film, theatre and tv roles prior to her "comeback" with Princess Diaries.
