Album: The Black Box (July 2013) - 1st single: "Summer Boys" (May 2013)
Quote:
Mid-tempo disco-pop summer anthem produced by Max Martin, Benny, and Cirkut, kind of a breezy almost reggae feel with huge choruses and lots of funk guitars
|
- 2nd single: "Magic Love" (July 2013)
Quote:
A sleek electropop/pop rock song, almost like "Your Body", sultry vocals but isn't really heavy, still summery. Highlighted by an acoustic sing along bridge that gradually builds into a big power pop finish. Produced by Max Martin and Shellback.
|
- 3rd single: "Intuition" (November 2013)
Quote:
This is the Zedd song, co-produced by Calvin Harris. It starts out kind of slow with a bass heavy four-to-the-floor beat, but the chorus kicks in and the song becomes pounding Eurodance euphoria, think of it like Katy's "Let's Go".
|
- 4th single: "Take You Out" feat. Rihanna (February 2014)
Quote:
A sexy dance-pop duet between Katy and Rihanna produced by Stargate and Max Martin. The song gradually picks up speed as it goes along, with Katy and Rihanna constantly trading lines. Filled with twangy disco guitars, distorted synths, and booming drums, the bridge shifts pace into a fast rock-tinged chant. There's no real chorus, just the line "take you out" distorted and twisted.
|
- 5th single: "Here & Now" (May 2014)
Quote:
It's a slower paced electro rock song, think of a beefed up version of "Hackensack". Produced by Greg Wells and Tricky Stewart
|
- 6th single: "Come Alive" feat. Calvin Harris (July 2014)
Quote:
Not really a traditional dance song. It's more like a house music ballad, her voice is represented really well, and it's about feeling alive when you're with someone
|
Re-release EP: Black Magic (November 2014) - 7th/1st single: "In the Dark" (September 2014)
Quote:
Everything Dressin' Up should have been. Runs over a distorted dubstep-influenced beat, really guitar based. Produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Benny Blanco
|
- 8th/2nd single: "Rings" feat. Kanye West (December 2014)
Quote:
A slower song, lots of bass, but Katy's voice is really melodic and light, she uses her head voice really well. It's a nice mix of electronic and hip hop produced by Stargate and Ammo
|
- 9th/3rd single: "Black Box" (February 2015)
Quote:
The song she showed Johnny back in the summer. It's really dark and somber, sounds like the Not Like The Movies remix for the photoshoot. Produced by Labrinth and Max Martin

Coty Inc. And Katy Perry Announce Fragrance Partnership
Global Beauty Leader and Multi-Platinum Recording Artist to Develop Innovative New Line of Fragrances
Quote:
NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2012 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Coty Inc., a new emerging leader in beauty, announced today the signing of multifaceted singer, songwriter and entertainer Katy Perry to develop and market her own line of signature fragrances. As part of the project, Coty will also distribute the artist's successful existing fragrance portfolio, comprised of Purr and Meow!, effective immediately.
Perry joins Coty's impressive list of brands that include Calvin Klein, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Playboy, among many others.
Eight-time Grammy nominee Katy Perry is one of the best-selling recording artists of this era. Her monumental album Teenage Dream, which has sold more than 5 million copies and 50 million single downloads to date, has remained in the Top 40 album charts since its release two years ago. Perry is a global superstar, touring the world with sold out arenas, including 124 live shows in her 2011 California Dreams tour. The tour is documented in this summer's hit 3D feature "Katy Perry: Part of Me," which is already the fourth biggest music documentary of all time.
"We are thrilled to have an artist as creative and talented as Katy Perry join us at Coty," said Renato Semerari, president, Coty Beauty. "Katy is original and daring—her unique approach to music and life will serve as the inspiration behind her innovative new scents and allow us to explore new avenues of scent creation."
"I am honored to be working with Coty, which has produced some of my favorite fragrances," said Perry. "I'm excited to share what's next in my perfumed world as well as making Purr and Meow! more accessible worldwide!"

Don't believe it. It's likely not true. Just the press stirring up poop. They're good at it.
Katy wasn't in SB when she was 4/5... she was in Tulsa... where David was born (he's 4 years younger). And after that they were in Arizona (at least when Katy was 7). Keith would've been about 22 when he had this kid, before he found Jesus and was doing all that cray cray stuff. I call BS... in my mind, it's not true until PROVEN true, lol!
