Discuss everything pop culture and give an overview on what ATRLs general census seems to be based on thread replies. Rem could could weekly box office updates and you could do a rundown of the top 5 most popular threads or something. Discuss new releases and maybe play REALLY small snippets, like iTune preview size. I'm subscribed to a lot of Disney podcasts and they always play snippets of songs. I think it could be entertaining and an easy way to get an overview of the site without having to dig through hundreds of missed pages. Especially for someone like me who'd typically too lazy to listen to new releases until someone recommends them to me.

I think it would be fun
People would tune in to listen, especially if the first few podcasts had notable members on there
It just boils down to what you would talk about and who would actually want to do it

Plenty of people, but the real question is who's funny on AND off ATRL?
I've done DJing and talking on mic a lot back in the day, but my voice is too feminine.

Just grab some topics from Celebria + The Lounge, talk about some of the main points, give your opinion and then ask a question for people to answer in some of them. Then when people answer, you can possibly highlight some of the funniest/best replies. You can also talk about some releases that came out that week and give them some promo.
It COULD work.

I DJed on a Habbo radio once and got bullied for sounding gay.

As for topics, idk, you'd have to find someone at least somewhat consistently funny throughout to hold ATRL's attention and keep them tuning in. This site has the attention span of an infant, so you'd have to be pretty selective in what you decided to talk about. I doubt most people would keep listening if a large part of the show were just music news.

nn finding people with traditionally radio-friendly voices is going to be tough here.
I used to have one but once I left it behind when I converted to homosexuality

That's rather insulting to infants.

OMG, you too? I DJed on several sites before - I don't remember the name of any of them, though, because they were mostly flops. I was only told I sounded gay/like a girl maybe 2-3 times tho. I'm 19 and it still stick with me, though.

What about the censorship of it all?

Of course they would! We have everyone from labels of artists to PR Management of regular celebs that lurk here (i.e. Colton Haynes )
I'm not sure that this is actually a good idea though but it might be. If the talk of this dies down before then, remind me of this in about 3 weeks or so and if y'all are actually serious, I will try and make some things happen using my powah

Yeah. I mean, if you did it very subtly or if you read other people's shady comments it might work (although I'm not sure how entertaining that'd be :deadbanana), but yeah, it'd be really hard to keep the interest of the site while also staying within the moderation guidelines.
I'm sure it's doable, but you'd have to do a lot of planning and be really careful.

Yeah, censorship would be a big thing. But THEN AGAIN, the site you're actually hosting from wouldn't be on ATRL. If you're not gonna play music, then there's really no need for the mods to really care or have any concern. Or at least I think so. But the host shouldn't be dragging anyways.
I think it'd be cool if the host could host a competition in every show, too. Like "post [a word or phrase] in the thread and the first one to do it will win a free song from iTunes!" or maybe even let the mod give out a little bit of ATRL+. Or maybe those little ATRL+ points after the update comes.

I don't usually sound feminine unless I'm nervous, which I was most of the time I was on-air. The only reason I did it in the first place was because my best friend was a part of this radio clan and I didn't want to be excluded.
The worst part was having to giving away good furni to attract people.

It'd be posted on ATRL by ATRL members, though, meaning it'd be the same thing as flamebait if you made a shady comment and posted it on ATRL.
At least, I think. Having a moderator in on this to help give tips would be smart.

Oop. I was usually always nervous but I'd usually be good at hiding it.
fff I'd always just give away a few coins or something. I'd never risk a throne. What a lot of people do these days is make it a lot more listeners so it'll be harder to get there, but they'll deserve it more.

I mean it could be fun, we could do album reviews, talk about the latest tragic outfit, maybe talk about ATRL in general. I think the best part will be requesting topics/giving people shout-outs or letting them contribute. If y'all are serious I can send a help request and see if we'd be allowed to do it.
|
Well since it's not going to actually be using the site to host it, there really isn't a need to ask for permission.
Plus a live show would be better, imo, because it allows for more interaction for things like a request line and people calling in for games or whatever

Oooh.
I'm not sure about pre-recorded. I guess that'd be okay but I'm not sure if I would listen unless it was live, to be honest. It's more interesting and spontaneous that way.

But he would be posting it on the site, meaning it would still be subject to all of ATRL's rules.
Rem has a point; a live show probably would attract more of an audience, but idk, I feel like there'd be too much of a risk if we did a live show, and Idk how it'd even be hosted.

Well, we need a host (or hosts) that are under control and won't drag on air. We need gorls that can give constructive criticism - or at least not say something like "this is a ****ing piece of **** song that makes me want to jump out of a 22-story building."
