They were not soul-mates from the beginning. Ethan didn't even know who Theresa was, even though her mother was a maid for his rich family for years. And Ethan and Gwen were together for years and was engaged. Theresa was living a fairytale. I don't know why the writers made Ethan and that crazy bitch have a happy ending. Ugh.
