Let's wait until the actual movie premiers to get a better understanding of her acting skills honestly. These small skits in the videos aren't doing much for me.
If Nicki does more films I just wouldn't want her to play the typical ratchet character that most black female artists play when they do films. I'd like to see a lead role where she's actually putting her all into changing into that character.
It'll be interesting to see her The Other Woman though because it'll give us an indication of her acting skills & if she could pull off other scripts & characters genuinely.
Tbh Nicki's a great actress but I think she's more of a theater actress than a movie one. If you've ever taken drama, you can distinguish how in plays they do everything more dramatic and exaggerated than if it were in a movie.
Which is why I'm really not having high hopes for The Other Woman
She's in L.A.
She has no real engagements aside from meetings
I think she is at least getting beats.
Of course she's getting beats, but I don't think she's in the studio for her album. Y'all want her to be in the studio so badly but I think she's just chilling for a few more week. Let her have some time.
However I do love when artist make current pop culture references in their songs. I mean she had Your Love for 3 years and it still felt fresh after the mastering.
