IKR. But I'm pretty sure it's Nicki Minaj, which I'm fine with too. I like Nicki a lot. And I don't want Adele to do an iTunes-only release, and I can't see her doing it. She did very well on iTunes with 21 (I believe it was the best-selling digital album of all-time), but physical sales are also important with her because she appeals to such a wide demographic. I highly doubt it's her. Plus, it says that fans would have an opportunity to participate in stuff right before the album release to get exclusive stuff and whatever, and that the artist would be dropping hints via social networks. That does not sound like Adele at all. Plus, I don't think she'd try and do anything remotely similar to what Bey did with her album, unless she did a surprise release with the album's lead single.

Well there were random giveaway-type things as part of the 21 Days of Adele, though, like the copies that had handwritten lyrics. And even the "well-orchestrated, pre-release notification to fans more likely than a flat-out surprise" sounds like it could be her to me, almost sounds exactly like what she did with Skyfall. The lack of interest in Spotify also sounds like her, if you remember the issues her and her label had with wanting 21 only to be available to premium users. Moreover, if there were anybody who would admire something that Beyoncé did that much, it would have to be her #1 celeb stan Adele.

But what doesn't sound right to me are the heavy social media publicity specifically led by the artist following it, the potential sales hit she'd take by eliminating hard copies, and even more than that, that "special giveaways and bonuses" seemingly would be competitive. I hate how in the other thread other stans seem to think Adele has no stans, while in actually there are quite a lot of us active across various platforms; however, Adele has never been one to favor any fans over others. For example, the 21 wells project had wide participation by all members of this fanbase but was only led by a few specific DDs. Regardless, she made sure to thank all of us, not just give an ego boost to the leaders by mentioning them by name. The fact that she doesn't tweet or follow any of us also alludes to this egalitarian treatment. As such, I don't see why she'd start favoring people in this way now. Only leads to trouble and hurt feelings, and imo would negatively change the entire dynamic of her fanbase coming into this next era.
