It must have struggled from word of mouth. Literally could hear about a dozen groups of people commenting on how boring they believed it was after my showing on opening night.
Poor Gaga, she has to work twice as hard (they are about equal in performance ability now so they work equally hard on stage) to get what Britney gets.
This makes no sense considering Britney had to do more shows to gross the same.
The rest of the cast made Brian Cranston's performance feel a bit out of place to me. Most of my enjoyment came from the imagery and more faithful devotion to kaiju tradition.
The worst movie I saw all year was the Transformers one. Was expecting nonstop nonsensical violence but I got a LOT of plotlines that involved talking and the movie was like almost 3 hours.
Godzilla wasn't bad at all, but the only human character that was interesting was Brian Cranston. I give it like a 6.5 or a 7 on a nice day.
The whole point was kinda the insignificance of humanity in the grand scheme of things/ shellshock that comes from realizing how powerless we are to resist or overcome the forces of nature at work and reflect on the level of hubris entailed by our implicit belief in the contrary.
