Her "Ours" performance was the most engaging. More like listening to a friend performing than a 'superstar'. Love it. She's no Barbie, come on now. Her singing 1/4 of the song off-key is her trademark. The Bernard/Joanna wanna-be performances were not entertaining whatsoever. It was atrocious and confusing.

She's a full package artist though. A songwriter first and foremost. Technically perfect is so overrated and boring. Her guitar playing & how She worked the audience made up for the average singing.

Not surprised since it doesn't involve too many gimmicks and true Country/Bluegrass performance. Understood why Bernard/Joanne/Carrie Marie stans didn't like it.



And for real tho, "Ours" at CMAs only shows that She's such a ballsy artist. LOVE IT.

IKR? Going 100% "naked" without nothing to fall back on in front of your peers an millions and TV-viewers? That is ballsy. How many performances like that have we even seen in award-shows? You mess up there is nothing to cover it up. Slight off-key is excusable imo. As we get it in most of her performances anyway.

And then you have IKYWT with a screaming backing track and 99999 backing vocals and awkward dance routines.

Her going 1/4 of the song off-key is what makes Her endearing. The greats are often to sing off-key too. Unless She puts herself as a singer a la Bernard or Carrie Marie, it shouldn't have been a problem.
