41. Shakira “She Wolf”
It's been three years since Shakira released an English album. Now she is back with her latest record entitled by the same song featured in my #41 spot.
She Wolf can be describe in three adjectives; sexy, addictive and animalistic. It's sexy because Shakira delivered this song so well, we are all familiar with her previous upbeat hits. Addictive because the lyrics is well written, the wolf cry
"auuuu" is the highlight of this song. It is animalistic because not only because of its title, Shakira did an awesome video for
She Wolf. We can see her dancing inside the cage with the moves of a wild animal wanting to be set free.
She Wolf fueled Shakira's comeback in the music scene and it just proves that she can still bring us great sexy singles just like in the past.

40. Craig David “Insomnia”
Last 2008, Craig David released his Greatest hits album and from that compilation he gave us probably his best song to date and that is the infectious
Insomnia. I only discovered this song late December of 2008 and I enjoyed it earlier last year.
Insomnia is so addictive to listen and thus became one of the biggest hits here in the Philippines. The opening line of the song
"Never thought that I fall in love, love, love" will really make you dance to this beat. The chorus part is so easy to remember, the repetitive line
"Feels like insomnia ah-ah ah" really got stuck in my head. Even though some of you thinks
Insomnia sounds a bit of a Chris Brown or Ne-Yo's style, it doesn't matter.
Insomnia is one of the memorable hits of 2009 and this is one of those upbeat tracks that I don't get tired listening to it.

39. Beyonce “Halo”
If you are keeping track on my list, Beyonce appeared four times already outside my Top 50. This time you see here for the first time in my Top 50 with the angelic song
Halo. The song is pure perfection, Ryan Tedder did an amazing job for this song as it was beautifully written with a somewhat controversial melody. Beyonce delivered the song so well as she gave us a powerful interpretation making you feel the message of the song. As for its music video, it fits the song well.
Halo was shot with colors this time accompanied by too much lighting which resembles the idea of heaven. It is a decent and simple video but I tell you it is not Beyonce's best. But despite that, that doesn't lessen my favoritism on
Halo while in fact I still like listening to this whenever I want to be at peace. There are other Beyonce songs in my list which I will reveal in the coming set, so stay tune for that.
