I think the new generation of teens, and even those of us who are in our 20s, are probably more narcissistic with the array of selfies and all these social media platforms dedicated to us venting how we feel, documenting every single thing we do, trying to portray ourselves in a certain way, etc.
But it's really no different than past generations, we just have so many outlets to express ourselves (lol) that it comes off bad/wrong/egotistical/self-centered.
Rihanna's fourth album "Rated R" climbs in at No. 4 with 181,000 -- the young diva's best sales week yet. Her previous best came when her third album "Good Girl Gone Bad" started with 162,000 at No. 2 in 2007.
Lady Gaga's new eight-song quasi-EP "The Fame Monster" bows at No. 5 with 174,000 while her first album "The Fame" rises from No. 34 to No. 6 (151,000; up 429%). T
If Rih didn't do the 99cent discount first week, she woulda been behind Gag's EP.
I'm still a teen technically, but in general I think the new wave(s) of teens are getting more rude.
More rude? That's all?! They are literally horrible little demons who have awful fashion sense, are incredibly stupid, follow trends and have no music taste or no taste at all. The 90s teens had great and TALENTED people to look up to I wish I had that. I mean it was really eclectic too they had Nirvana criticising the mainstream and on the other side they had Janet singing about revolution and racial problems.
But Loyal is better than anything on 20/20 1 and 2. lol. Those albums are horrible and insanely dated.
Loyal sounds like everything else right now and it still ***** all over both of JTs albums.
Justin isn't forgettable, though. lol. He is an A-list figure in the industry and is regarded as highly as Beyonce, which is basically as high as you can go. He just doesn't have the international backing or the hit singles (again, like Beyonce), so it's easy to discredit him.
