Rainbow is so terrible, it's not even funny. That album is just so goddamn basic and boring. Emotions is probably her most boring album. I almost fell asleep like 5 times

Emotions has some great moments. "Emotions", "Can't Let Go"!!!!!!, "To Be Around You" and "And You Don't Remember".

And "Till The End of Time" and "The Wind" are kind of forgotten gems.

I can't believe I forgot "Make I Happen", I thought I was missing something. I don't really care for the others much though. And she sang "If It's Over" better on the Grammys.

Emotions is her third best album after Butterfly and Daydream. Then comes The Emancipation of Mimi. Her vocals in 1991 were on point. I enjoy every track from 'Emotions' to 'And You Don't Remember' right down to 'If It's Over', 'Make It Happen', 'You're So Cold' and 'The Wind'. Everything's cool. And the album art is so nice as well And if you look extra carefully at the performances during this era, it's the best she has ever looked pre-Butterfly (i.e. up until 1997, she was serving during the Emotions era, appearance-wise.)

Edit: I don't understand how much she changed from 'Emotions' to 'Music Box'....The music, vocals, looks, just overall her presence. It doesn't even feel like she's the same person.

She was oozing classiness and maturity. She was a LADY.
