08. Ne-Yo “Go On Girl”
Ne-Yo had a good year this 2008 and he opened it with this last single from his previous album and that is Go On Girl. At first, I wasn't into it thinking it won't be a hit but after listening to it a couple of times, I was really hooked with this song for about 2 months. The video may not be that impressive but having several gorgeous girls in the video makes up for it. Ne-Yo delivers R&B perfection with this song, he is singing about moving on with his unfaithful girl. The lyrics are so meaningful, anyone who has gone through the same situation can relate to the song. Go On Girl made me love Ne-Yo even better however, this song isn't that well received here. Nevertheless, hands down for Ne-Yo for releasing a great R&B tune.

07. Mariah Carey “Touch My Body”
First of two appearances by Mariah Carey in my list is Touch My Body. After the worldwide success of The Emancipation Of Mimi, Mariah is back to give us more of her music. She released E=MC˛ and the lead single is definitely a smash hit. Touch My Body is a cute and sexy song, the lyrics most especially the chorus is so catchy and fun to sing along to. This song help Mariah Carey to have her 18th #1 song in the US owning solo the 2nd place for having the most #1 singles. Sadly, with so many single material from her album, Touch My Body is the only one who is successful. Maybe her decisions of choosing the singles do affect a lot. Let's just hope that for her next record, Mariah will release more potential hits and she should choose wisely on her singles. One more Mariah Carey song is on the way, so stay tune for that.
