Hey, can someone explain to me how BB can give the top spot to someone else even though HDD says they didn't sell as much? Is this is a rare thing? Does Billboard count the sales differently?

HDD are based purely on projections from retailers. of course, Billboard uses Nielsen which has a lot more coverage of retailers than HDD. and since HDD are just based on statistical projections, always expect a small amount of marginal error in their projection
Got my hopes up a little more now. Don't fail us, HDD.

IIRC, there are certain vendors BB counts/gets reports from that HDD doesn't for whatever reason, and vice-versa, but they are mostly similar.
Are they doing this on purpose? Is it really going to be this close...
