Basically it's all just a big lie for views and replies. You see, this whole ATRL Power 100 event started 10 years ago but got canceled due to lack of votes, and then the same thing happened year after year until 2014 when jax. became the new host. Then in 2015 we upped the promo, added in some new ideas for exposure, and most importantly - got stickied on The Lounge's front page. Now this year the sticky didn't happen so we've been going extra hard for publicity (the posters, ATRL+ "prize" which isn't real btw we've already pre-picked a member that will "win", announce them and then they'll be like "aw nevermind I don't want it".) Anyway, basically the goal for every year is to beat the ceremony that came before it. Last year had 5,964 replies + 125,203 views and so far we have 973 replies + 18,878 views, so we still have a long way to go, but we just roam around the forum spreading the news so we can get newbie's hopes up about this "super cool list!!!!1!" and cause them to waste their time voting, perching and waiting. Members fall for it every year, it's hilarious.
